I am Air is the dialogues between the
air and people in the future, will people be the master of the world? Are
they just parasites of the earth? Let the air tell you.
Husserl proposed that existence is the objective requirement of consciousness. In the future, the consciousness of the air will become a system that can be experienced, and humans will be able to dive into it. However, this system was created for the purpose of changing you at this moment.
The film attempts to explore the balance between humans and nature. Through the speculative narrative way, consciousness substitution is used as story clues, quantum eraser experiment and Newtonia classical mechanics are used as the theoretical basis, across the boundary between reality and virtuality. Try to guide the audience to have a new perspective on nature and behaviour after the visual experience.
As French anthropologist, Bruno Latour said in the review of the book<the mushroom:at the end of the world>:
"If humans must survive in the ruins of capitalism, which is what some people call the Anthropocene, then we need an example to see what unexpected entanglement and connection can be formed between economic and cultural ecology and survival strategies.
Steve Goodman wrote in his book Sonic Warfare (2010):
" The twenty-first century started with a bang, setting the resonant frequency of fear at which the planet has been vibrating, trembling, ever since." The earth pulsates like a giant living organism. According to the current scientific mainstream, nature is unconscious. What if the shaking planet is a giant living organism? What if air has consciousness?
